The Jackson Hole Bridal Session
In the serene beauty of Jackson Hole, we began Macey's bridal photoshoot. As an elopement photographer known for my easy-going approach, I've always found this location to be a captivating backdrop for capturing such intimate moments. On this day, with the rustic bridge as our stage and nature providing the perfect location, we found ourselves in an enchanting setting. As we proceeded with the photoshoot, Macey discovered a touching surprise within her gown - a heart-shaped piece of her mother's wedding dress, lovingly stitched with the words 'Love mom'. This unexpected memento brought an intimate, emotional dimension to the moment, as if her mother was there with us.
A First Look at Snake River Overlook
For Skylor's first look, we chose the breathtaking Snake River Overlook. Amidst the softly falling snow, their first look was an intimate exchange, a testament to their love. As a long-time resident and professional photographer in Jackson Hole, I understand that the mountains may not always be visible, particularly during a snowstorm. But therein lies the charm of Jackson Hole – even without the peaks, the valley's natural allure is undeniable. We're cradled in a "hole", encircled by mountains on all sides. Even when they're hidden, the beauty of the landscape shines through. The exceptional view of the Snake River Canyon, which formed the backdrop for their ceremony, is a prime example. These are the moments that make my work as an elopement photographer in Jackson Hole so fulfilling.

Adventure Elopement in the Grand Tetons
With the picturesque setting of the Grand Tetons, we embarked on a journey to capture the most memorable moments following Skylor and Macey's ceremony. With the Teton Mountains shrouded in mystery that day, the Gros Ventre mountains stepped into the spotlight, showcasing their majestic beauty and serving as a breathtaking backdrop for our elopement photography. We decided to venture east of the Tetons, drawn by the allure of the Gros Ventre range. Upon reaching our chosen location, we noticed a unique formation of rocks hanging over a cliff, nestled into the hillside. Skylor, ever the adventurer, suggested we venture down to capture some images there.
Admittedly, I felt a surge of apprehension at the prospect of navigating the steep descent. However, embracing the spirit of adventure, we made our way down to the cliff. The risk was well worth the reward: the views were nothing short of spectacular. The cliffside location lent an element of daring to their elopement photoshoot, a unique twist that made this session truly stand out. The towering mountains, the vast expanse of sky, and the raw natural beauty of Grand Teton combined to create a setting so stunning that no words could do it justice. The images themselves will attest to the extraordinary beauty we were fortunate to witness that day.
